Sweet & Spicy Sauce

minutesSweet, citrusy, with a sriracha kick that builds — this is the sauce that will completely transform your most basic salad. It’s bold, and it has this addictive quality where one drizzle turns into five. A little goes a long way and it goes on absolutely everything.
Ingredients
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
2 tablespoons avocado oil
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
2 teaspoons lime juice
¼ teaspoon lime zest (about half the lime)
¼ teaspoon tamari
1 garlic clove, peeled
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a small blender and puree until smooth.
- Use immediately or store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 7 days.
Notes
- Only a very small amount of sauce is needed to punch up the flavour, sauce lightly to begin.
- If you only have a regular sized blender, you may need to double the recipe to ensure it will blend until smooth. If not, you could grate the garlic and mix the sauce by hand.
