Smoky Red Pepper Drizzle

Bold, smoky, with a quiet heat from the chipotle — this sauce makes everything it touches taste more interesting. It’s the one that goes on the table and disappears before anything else. Beautiful deep colour, incredible flavour. 

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 

  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (about half a lemon) 

  • 1/4 tsp paprika 

  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste 

  • ¼ cup tahini 

  • 2 garlic cloves 

  • 1/2 a pepper worth of roasted red peppers (from jar) 

  • 1 chipotle pepper in Adobo sauce* 

  • 2 – 4 Tablespoons of water, or more to thin 

Directions

  • Add all ingredients into a small high speed blender and blend until well combined. Enjoy! 

Notes

  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce are smoked, dried jalapeños that have been rehydrated and canned in a savory-sweet tomato sauce made with vinegar and spices. They come in small cans and a great pantry staple to boost flavour in everything!
