Garlic Tahini Sauce
1
cup5
minutesThe sauce that lives in my fridge permanently, it makes roasted vegetables taste like they came from your fave restaurant. Very simple ingredients, yet somehow greater than the sum of its parts. Tahini is full of minerals like zinc, copper and magnesium and anti-inflammatory fats which support your nervous and immune systems
Ingredients
½ cup tahini paste
1-2 garlic cloves, grated*
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
¼ – ½ cup warm water
Directions
- Combine tahini, grated garlic, lemon juice and salt in a bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add water a little at a time, continuing to whisk until you have a creamy pourable sauce.
- Use immediately or store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 7 days. Bring to room temperature before using and add water to thin if needed. Enjoy!
Notes
- When adding the water to the sauce, it may initially thicken and seize. Continue adding water slowly while whisking, the sauce will come together into a smooth texture. Certain brands of tahini may need more or less added water.
- Garlic is antimicrobial, antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal! Woah. Bring on the garlic.
