Easy ‘cheezy’ hummus sauce

Three ingredients, completely dairy free, and genuinely one of the simplest sauces ever. 
Miso paste brings the salt and umami plus gut-loving fermented benefits. Nutritional yeast is packed with B vitamins your nervous system needs. Together they create a cheesy, deeply savoury flavour without a single drop of dairy. This is the secret weapon sauce. 

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup garlic hummus 

  • 1 ½ tablespoons nutritional yeast 

  • 1 tablespoon miso paste

  • 3-4 tablespoons water 

Directions

  • Combine hummus, nutritional yeast and miso paste in a small bowl.
  • Add water a little at a time, continuing to whisk until you have a creamy pourable sauce.
  • Use immediately or store in a covered glass jar in the fridge.
