Hi! Im arianne

Vegan chocolate freezer fudge is a rich, creamy, and dairy-free treat that’s easy to make. The result is a melt-in-your-mouth fudge with deep chocolate flavor and a hint of nuts. Perfect for a quick, indulgent snack or a special treat, this vegan fudge is both satisfying and healthier than traditional fudge.

This recipe is part of my Feel Good Treats Summer series, where we’re all about enjoying your favorite treats but making them healthier so you feel really freaking good! All the treats are damn delicious and also happen to be gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, anti-inflammatory, and mostly vegan.

I started developing these feel-good treats after being diagnosed with Lyme disease. Check out the story and video here!

Chocolate Freezer Fudge

Recipe by Arianne JonesCourse: Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Refined Sugar Free

Ingredients

  • 4 oz (a heaping 1/2 cup) chocolate chips *must be at least 60% cacao in order for the fudge to set properly

  • ½ ripe avocado, peeled

  • ⅓ cup almond butter

  • ⅓ cup pure maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon of cacao powder

  • ¾ tsp. kosher salt

  • 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil, melted

  • coconut oil or non stick spray

  • Toppings
  • Flaky sea salt

  • ¼ cup sliced almonds, toasted**

  • Blueberries

  • Granola

  • Salted Pistachios

Directions

  • Melt your chocolate. Place chocolate in a small glass or ceramic bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes, in 15-second bursts, stirring well between each, until melted and smooth. You can alternatively melt the chocolate in a double broiler method (in a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water).
  • Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and lightly Coat it with coconut oil or spray. Leave plenty of paper overhanging to easily remove the fudge from the tray.
  • In a food processor or high speed blender, puree avocado, almond butter, maple syrup, and melted coconut oil. Add cacao powder, kosher salt and 1-2 Tablespoons of cold water, if needed. Blend until very smooth.
  • Add melted chocolate and blend until combined, scraping the sides when needed.
  • Transfer chocolate fudge mixture to the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spoon or spatula.
  • Add your delicious toppings and sprinkle with flakey salt. Press the toppings lightly to get them to stick.
  • Place the pan in the freezer overnight to set.
  • Cut into squares or bars to enjoy! Store in the freezer in an airtight container for a week or two.
